Nocturnal Moments – Waking Dreams

Lynn Butler will project the newest creation in her life-long work using animals as "partners" in making photographic images. Lynn has published and exhibited photographs around the world. Her most recent book is Imperiled Landscapes, Endangered Legends, published by Rizzoli/Universe. She began to work in 3D in 1995. This slide show is derived from a dream series exhibited at the Norton Museum of Art earlier this year. Some StereoJet prints from that exhibit will be displayed at the meeting, along with two anaglyph phantograms.

The Color of Nature

Larry Miller will present three-dimensional landscape photographs from the American West (including slot canyons), a group of "starry landscapes" and black-and-white infrared work. Larry’s 2D pictures have been exhibited at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History in Pittsburgh and at the British Museum of Natural History. The stereo camera is an essential tool in his field kit, and this group of pictures is the result of many years work.

Both artists will introduce their work and take questions from the audience. The meeting will include some announcements, and our usual informal show-and-tell when members share their own work (in any format) in viewers or on bulletin boards around the room.

Free and open to the public.
