Stereo Photography in The New York Public Library presented by Julia Van Haaften
Julia Van Haaften, Curator of Photographs in the New York Public Library’s Miriam and Ira D. Wallach Division of Art, Prints & Photographs, will speak about the library’s holdings of stereo photographs. She will feature remarks on the development of the library’s website displaying the Robert Dennis Collection of stereo views. The website will be projected and Ms. Van Haaften will demonstrate its features for searching the collection, viewing images, and ordering reproductions. Els Estequirots de les Rambles
Carles Moner, visiting from Barcelona, Spain, will present a short 3D slide show on the "living sculptures" in this famous city street. Mr. Moner is director of the Eurostereo Foundation and will speak on the Foundation’s efforts to promote stereo photography.
The meeting will include some announcements, and our usual informal show-and-tell when members share their own work (in any format) in viewers or on bulletin boards around the room.
Free and open to the public.
