Love The Projector & Teaching Brain and Spine Surgery with 3D Images
Upcoming Events of the New York Stereoscopic Society
Love The Projector
Thursday, March 22, 7:00 pm
Leonhardt People Center, 2nd Floor, American Museum of Natural History
Please use the Central Park West security entrance, down the ramp below the main staircase.
Here is an opportunity to put our new Brackett Projector to good use. Bring some of your slides mounted in Realist format and we'll show them on the silver screen. It's also the perfect time to ask questions about stereo image making. This will be an informal show-and-tell evening, a time to enjoy a variety of stereo images by our multi-talented members.
Teaching Brain and Spine Surgery with 3D Images
Thursday, June 7, 7:00 pm *Please note new date*
Kaufmann Auditorium, American Museum of Natural History
Please use the 77th street entrance.
Dr. Chun Siang Chen, Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at Mt. Sinai Medical Center and co-author of the textbook Microsurgical Anatomy of the Skull Base, will share with us the latest stereo images and techniques that he uses in teaching neuroanatomy to medical students. The talk is tailored for laymen and will employ anaglyph projection.
Summer and Fall 2007
We'll have two more events later this year. One will celebrate the 10th anniversary of the New York Stereoscopic Society. Also, plans are in the works for a 3D Comics Night. Stay tuned for more information!
