Mars Unearthed.com – 3D from Mars and more!

Victoria Crater, Mars as captured by the Rover, Opportunity.

A great anaglyph site with all stereo images created by Jeff Wiliams, some of them are absolutely stunning! Mars Unearthed.com's got 3D anaglyphs, 3D Flash movies, and free-view stereo pairs from images returned by the camera systems on several Mars Global Surveyor's flights, plus images from the two on-site Rovers, Spirit and Opportunity, the Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter, the Apollo and Shuttle programs, and from the Cassini spacecraft orbiting Saturn.

And you can sit in a comfortable chair and take a third-dimensional peak at our 'sister' planet. Find out if Orson Welles, or H.G. Wells was right about Mars! Click here to explore this great collection of stereo images.

No one would have believed in the last years of the nineteenth century that this world was being watched keenly and closely by intelligences greater than man's and yet as mortal as his own; that as men busied themselves about their various concerns they were scrutinised and studied, perhaps almost as narrowly as a man with a microscope might scrutinise the transient creatures that swarm and multiply in a drop of water. . .Yet across the gulf of space, minds that are to our minds as ours are to those of the beasts that perish, intellects vast and cool and unsympathetic, regarded this Earth with envious eyes, and slowly and surely drew their plans against us.

from The War of the Worlds 1898, by H. G. Wells.
