An Evening in Celebration of the Anaglyph - Monday, February 7, 2011

NYSS member Gerald Marks will be hosting a projection evening in his midtown loft, in celebration of Anaglyph as a 3-D art-form. It will be Monday evening Feb. 7. Doors will open at 6:30 PM; the presentations begin at 7:30 PM.

There is limited space available for NYSS members to be there. Please RSVP to PullTime3d@aol.com if you'd like to attend. Address and instructions will be sent in return.

Paul Johnson, Terry Wilson, Claudia Kunin and Marks himself will show a variety of their newer work in the medium. Recent trends in the marketing of 3-D have given short shrift to Anaglyph, despite it being the de-facto standard for 3-D on the Internet and the most convenient all-around way to communicate using depth... as well as inherently beautiful.

Excellent red/blue glasses will be provided and you can decide whether they deserve the appellation "dorky" and speculate as to why a hardware-based industry might fear them.
